The purchase order for a new spider-type excavator was recently confirmed. Manufacturer is the company Euromach in Montichiari (Italy), it will be equipped with a drilling unit from the Marini Quarries Group in Villadossola (Italy).
Duci has already got two excavators of this type in its fleet, successfully used in the past for the execution of excavations in very difficult contexts with significant slopes.
The purchase was necessary in this case to meet the stringent technical standards in the field of seismic safety which increasingly require the construction of anchors, self-drilling bars, micropiles, nails etc. in the execution of the works.
Specific machinery made in limited series, the spider will be custom assembled following the specific needs of the customer. The basis is the two-wheel drive R853 model, powered by Kubota, 9 ton weight and a max. capacity of 3460 kg.
The hydraulic system necessary for the operation of the customized Marini drilling rig will then be installed, and a hydraulic winch for anchoring to the wall.
The drilling unit is a Marini model MR-A 120 equipped with a hydraulic slide with a useful stroke of two mt and an adjustable pull / push force up to max 2400 kg. The drill is able to perform bars with diameters ranging from R32 up to H64.
The spider-drilling system will be used for the construction of new avalanche protection on a mountain area and then for driving the anchoring systems of the poles that support the larch racks into the ground.
In the future, the machine will be used for other special work areas both in Italy and abroad.
