Construction of foundations for the new 380kV transmission line Salzburgleitung, in the Salzburg region and Upper Austria.
Tower spots in steep terrain with significant slope inclination which required different types of slope stabilization measures. Excavation and drilling by means of Spider excavators and special drilling units mounted on the spider excavator.
4 concrete foundations pads and chimney each tower, diameter from 1000 mm to 1300 mm.
Depending on the ground conditions concrete block foundations or pile foundations (micropiling) were designed. The concrete block foundations are made with reinforced slabs and round chimney.
Deep foundations are small diameter piles (micropiles), borehole of at least DM 150mm for the depth level from 0 to 15 m.
Execution of a pile foundation test was required from the Client. The Pile Foundations are integrated into reinforced pile pads with reinforced round chimney.
The transport of materials in many cases was made possible by means of helicopters and ropeways for material transport. Consolidation of excavations with steep slopes using soil nailing technology. Performed with special machines mounted on spider excavator and transportable by helicopter.
The final stages involved the construction of access roads. Creation of gravel and geotextile roads and mobile access roads by means of wood or metal planks.
